Description
(Please full-view for 100% enjoyment!)
Lame title, I know, but I didn't want to be boring and be all "Merry X-Mas from Shadi" or something.
It's been years since I did Christmas art...since 2000, actually But seriously, I decided to do something...cute...something sweet enough to cause tooth decay and all that good stuff! Seto gets a present and a hug from Mokuba, while Jounouchi is happy that his little sister Shizuka likes her new doll (her hair colour was bitchin' hard for me for some reason).
I originally wanted to cel-shade this, but after laying the palette down and changing the line colour from black to deep red, I thought that it looked best this way, and that perhaps doing any shading would perhaps be overkill...I dunno, my own opinion.
For the background, I went crazy with the default circle brush and made colours, lots of colours...then faded them against a deep red backdrop (at least, I think I left it in deep red...), and whee. They're like Christmas lights!! I had a hard time choosing the right font for the text...I wanted to use on that was " Christmasy" enough. Then I put the text into a gradient overlay--and whaddya know, Photoshop 6.0 had a red/green in the default.
So there you have it, my Christmas picture for you lot. I hope you enjoy it, and have a Merry X-mas, and send me half of your X-Mas s.
Oh, and before I forget: obligatory X-Mas smilie abuse:
